I am pleased to introduce the new ReedMonster bassoon reeds. Like the oboe reeds, these reeds are hand-made from start to finish by a professional player with years of experience.

Thomas Bulgrin has a B.M. from the University of Wyoming and an M.A. from the Brooklyn College conservatory of the City University of New York. He has performed in New York with such groups ranging from the Brooklyn Philharmonic to Broadway pit orchestras, and in Chicago with numerous area symphonies, the Chicago Jazz Ensemble and the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic.

Each reed is meticulously crafted from Glotin or Prestini cane. The cane is profiled on a Pfieffer single profiler and is hand-shaped on a Goltzer shape. Theses are medium-resistence reeds . professional reeds, and are made in the style of Tom's teachers, who include Harold Goltzer, Jane Taylor, and Lestor Cantor.
